Previous YTN Event - Tourism Current Trends and Opportunities

On Tuesday 18th October YTN held a Professional Development event at the Melbourne Cricket Club. YTN were joined by three guest speakers who spoke to attendees on the current trends and opportunities that our industy face.

This event was inspired by Victoria's increasing visitation from Eastern markets and the potential impacts of carbon tax and the Australian dollar on our industry.

Gary Burns, Marketing Director of Sovereign Hill, Jennifer Dean, Assistant Airline Business Manager, Melbourne Airport and Denise Ulbrick, Research Manager, Tourism Victoria all shared some valuable insights.

It was a great event with some fantastic discussion made. Of course it was also followed by the traditional networking and nibblies.

Previous YTN Event - Speed Networking

Thank you to everyone who attended the YTN's highly successful speed networking event at Melbourne Marriott on Tuesday 10 May.  About 40 'mentors' and 'mentees' spoke non-stop throughout the night, as well as enjoying some traditional networking over drinks and canapes.  A special thank you to Sasha Wemyss of Melbourne Convention and Visitors Bureau (MCVB) for her insightful presentation on the nature of networking and some helpful tips on maximising your networking opportunities.
