About
The Young Tourism Network was established in October 2005 as a Victorian based social networking group and was formally launched to the industry at in May 2006. The network, through both social and professional development events and industry alliances, aims to enhance and foster the career development and professional excellence of the people within the Victorian tourism industry.
The YTN is run by a committee of members who work and study within tourism industry related fields. We're just like you! The Young Tourism Network is a not for profit network, proudly auspiced by Tourism Alliance Victoria.
Aims of the Network
- To encourage employees and new entrants of the tourism industry to meet, network and share ideas, experiences, and opportunities
- To foster the development of young professionals to the tourism industry
- To enable the broader tourism industry to understand the goals, views and issues important to younger people in the industry
- To encourage industry wide collaboration

Who do we represent?
- Young tourism industry employees including graduates recently employed in the industry
- New entrants to the tourism industry (from another career area, after time away from the industry or as a graduate/new employee)
- Students of a Tourism, Hospitality or Events related degree, diploma or certificate course
The Young Tourism Network, the Tourism Industry encompasses all tourism related fields such as travel, leisure, hospitality, marketing, public relations, events, attractions, tour operators, and the eduation sector.
